Postdoctoral Training

About The Program

The University of Pittsburgh houses one of the largest and most productive communities of neuroscientists in the world. Consequently, there are a great number of postdoctoral trainees on campus.

Join The Community

Get connected to the neuroscience community by signing up to receive CNUP's biweekly newsletter, The Neurotransmitter.  Contact Natalee Bright to subscribe and be added to the Center's on-line index of Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Associates.

Become a part of the University-wide postdoctoral community by visiting the University of Pittsburgh Postdoctoral Association (UPPDA) website.

Teaching and Public Outreach

Interested in teaching others about your areas of research?  Consider teaching a class in the CNUP or participating in a community outreach event. Contact Dr. Alan Sved with your teaching interests and questions, and contact Lisa Summe to learn about outreach opportunities.

Postdoctoral Research Opportunities

Recent graduates seeking a postdoctoral or research associate position should review research conducted by CNUP faculty members and contact directly the faculty member with whom they wish to work to determine if positions are currently available.

The Office of Academic Career Development also maintains a list of postdoctoral positions available the University's Health Sciences.

Annual Retreat

Join your fellow neuroscientists at the CNUP Annual Retreat!  The retreat typically occurs in September at the scenic Oglebay Resort and Conference Center in Wheeling, West Virginia.  Visit "Annual Retreat" for more details and to explore retreats past.
